Abstract. The article presents the project "The ability to work with scientific documents as an opportunity for academic growth", which took place at the University of Economics - Varna. The series of trainings conducted within the framework of the initiative and the results achieved are described. Readers' attitudes and needs were analyzed based on a survey conducted after the seminars. Guidelines for further development and encouragement of knowledge for working with scientific information are outlined.
