Development of the Cultural Competence and Creative Skills of the Students from the High School Stage through Interest Activities: Club “Pisha.bg”

Abstract. The purpose of the article is to show that through the “Interest Activities” club “Рisha.BG” was created, in which seventh graders demonstrate critical thinking and creative imagination. Visiting various events (houses museums, theaters, excursions), reading for pleasure aims to explain the students’ cultural competence – the reflexive awareness of cultural influences on their thoughts and behavior; the acquisition and maintenance of culture-specific skills. In the specific work, conditions are created for students from the junior high school stage to understand individual aspects of culture, to build cultural values and to learn to create. Free and open communication, emotionality, expression of thoughts and feelings create spontaneous discussions and author’s texts.
