Abstract. The article presents the analysis of dimensions as a necessary condition for the correct application of mathematical models in practice. Basic mathematical operations with dimensions are presented, as well as rules for working with dimensions. Each rule is explained with an example. The material is appropriate both for secondary school and for specific subjects in professional education.
