Abstract. In the article the author introduces the topic of coaching skills of school leaders. The research focuses on a review and analysis of existing models and practices that confirm the benefits of training future and current leaders in applying coaching principles and techniques in their day-to-day operations. The author also presents the main observations from a survey conducted among pedagogical specialists and educational leaders in Bulgaria on the topic and offers a framework of topics and activities for future thematic training in coaching skills for leaders.
