Absract. This article focuses on the contemporary turn away from reading in literature education. Drawing on the research of Antoine Compagnon, Tzvetan Todorov, Roland Barthes and Annie Rouxel, the article examines the displacement of subjective dimensions of reading in literary studies and literature education that has become prevalent in the second half of the twentieth century and argues for the need to rehabilitate the ‘rights of the reader’. She focuses on the student reader’s blog as a specific digital dispositif for promoting and manifesting the student’s subjective reading experience.
