Abstract. The article discusses a method for constructing the section of a prism with
a plane defined by three points using parallel projection. The propaedeutics of the method
is based on three supporting problems. The solution of the main problem describes the
construction of the section of the plane with the surrounding edge of the prism or its
extension. The method is applied in solving various problems for construction of a section.
