Abstract. The article is dedicated to the current problem of integrating the competency approach into the educational process. In arts education, the acquisition of skills based on certain theoretical knowledge is always tied to the achievement of an artistic result. This text shares and describes experience related to mastering, expanding and practical application of knowledge about music through the application of the project activity, as an opportunity to form and improve the professional competences of students from the specialty “Graphic Design with Advertising”.
